Tribhuvan International Airport – Kathmandu

TIA is located in the capital city, Kathmandu, 5 kilometers from the city center, it is considered the gateway to the Nepalese Himalayas.

 

Tribhuvan International Airport is operating with a tabletop runway, one domestic and an international terminal. It connects Nepal to over 40 destinations in 17 countries.

Also called the Bhairahawa Airport, Gautam Buddha Airport is being upgraded according to international standards and it is proposed to begin operations soon, people from other countries will be able to land here, as soon as the airport starts its international operations. It would then become Nepal’s second international airport.
